1. Describe the three Newton's Law of Motion.

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

1st law--Newton's first law states that every object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled to change its state by the action of an external force. This is normally taken as the definition of inertia. The key point here is that if there is no net forceacting on an object (if all the external forces cancel each other out) then the object will maintain a constant velocity. If that velocity is zero, then the object remains at rest. If an external force is applied, the velocity will change because of the force.

2nd— The second law explains how the velocity of an object changes when it is subjected to an external force. The law defines a force to be equal to change in momentum(mass times velocity) per change in time. Newton also developed the calculus of mathematics, and the "changes" expressed in the second law are most accurately defined in differential forms. (Calculus can also be used to determine the velocity and location variations experienced by an object subjected to an external force.) For an object with a constant mass m, the second law states that the force F is the product of an object's mass and its acceleration a:

F = m * a

For an external applied force, the change in velocity depends on the mass of the object. A force will cause a change in velocity; and likewise, a change in velocity will generate a force. The equation works both ways.

3rd law-- The third law states that for every action (force) in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction. In other words, if object A exerts a force on object B, then object B also exerts an equal force on object A. Notice that the forces are exerted on different objects. The third law can be used to explain the generation of lift by a wing and the production of thrust by a jet engine.

Consider an object of mass 2kg at rest on a ramp with βs=0.5 and βk=0.4.
If the ramp angle is 60 degrees, how far can the object travel in the first 1 seconds?

Answers

The distance traveled by the object in the first 1 second is determined as 0.98 m.

Distance traveled by the object

The distance traveled by the object is calculated as follows;

F - μkmgcosθ = ma

0 - μkmgcosθ = ma

- μkgcosθ = a

-(0.4)(9.8)cos60 = a

- 1.96 m/s² = a

s = ut + ¹/₂at²

s = 0(1) + ¹/₂(-1.96)(1)²

s = -0.98 m

|s| = 0.98 m

Thus, the distance traveled by the object in the first 1 second is determined as 0.98 m.

A projectile is shot at initial speed v0 = 8.94 m/s with angle theta = 26.5 degree as shown. It reaches the distance x = 24 m.

Find height h of the cliff, your answer should be positive.

Answers

A projectile is shot with the initial speed, it follows the motion called projectile motion. The height of the cliff is 44.91 m.

What is initial speed?

The speed at the start of the motion is the initial speed.

The horizontal distance is

x = v₀ sin θ. t

Substitute 26.5 for θ, 24 for x and 8.94 m/s for x, we get the time taken to complete the journey.

t = 24/ (8.94 cos26.5) = 3 s

Maximum height reached

H = v₀²sin²θ/2g

H = (8.94)² x sin²( 26.5) /(2 x 9.8)

H =0.8118 m

The height of the cliff is obtained by the equation of motion

0.8118 - h = -1/2 gt² +v₀sinθ.t

Substitute the values, we get

h =0.8118 +1/2x9.8x (3)²

h =44.911m

Thus, the height of the cliff is 44.91 m.

But acceleration of electron, ae =FE/me whereas

Answers

When an object is thrown at an angle from the horizontal, the path followed by the body is called the projectile motion. The duration in seconds that the object is above the height of 14 m is 4.698 s.

What is speed?

Speed is the time rate at which velocity is changing.

Vertical speed component is

V₀y = 52sin 30°= 26 m/s

Given is the height h=14m

Using second equation of motion,

S=ut+ 1/2 at²

Substituting the values, we get

calculate how much charge passes through the LED in 1 hour if the current flowing in the circuit below is 350mA

Answers

Given the the current flowing in the circuit and the elapsed time, the charge that passes through the LED is 1260 Coulombs.

What is Current?

Current is simply the rate of flow of charged particles i.e electrons caused by EMF or voltage.

If a charge passes through the cross-section of a conductor in a given time, the current I is expressed as;

I = Q/t

Where Q is the charge and t is time elapsed.

Given the data in the question;

Time elapsed t = 1hr = 3600sCurrent I = 350mA = 0.35ACharge Q = ?

We substitute our given values into the expression above to determine the charge.

I = Q/t

Q = I × t

Q = 0.35A × 3600s

Q = 1260C

what are the type of lens ?

When a lens in the path of a beam of parallel rays causes the rays to diverge after refraction, it is referred to as a diverging lens.

It always creates a virtual image and has a thinner core than its boundaries.

Concave lenses(diverging lenses) function as diverging lenses because they cause light rays to diverge as they pass through them.

Therefore, when used with air as the operating medium, a concave lens can be thought of as a diverging lens.

The concave lens has several applications, including in telescopes, cameras, lasers, glasses, binoculars, and other optical devices.
