Parvana wants to change it, so it is exactly like Green Valley. Parvana finds Leila and her despondent Grandmother facing the corner. Parvana starts to change the mud hut.
Later, the four children run out of food. However, the landmines help them and a goat is killed. The four children are exicited, and then have a party.
Shortly after, a bomb falls on *Green Valley, and destroys it, and takes away Grandmother.
Climax
Parvana finds a man, and the man tells her to go in a direction that eventually leaves the four children in a refugee camp, where they are cared for.
One day, a planes comes, and drops food parcels. People are rushing to get them, and are fighting for it. Leila spots one in a minefield, and ironically, and unfortunately doesn't make it.
Then as Parvana sees her say her last words, a women in a burqa comes and starts asking questions about what happened. Parvana saw the women, and it was her mother.
