Answer 2

Answer:

If your due dates are at least by the end of the week, I recommend doing straight work for 30 minutes, then rewarding yourself. Repeat this for as long as you want but don't do so much that you weren't able to do anything socially for the whole day. If your due dates are already passed or if they are coming up really soon, I recommend putting on whatever music you like to listen to, but nothing to upbeat. Put on some calm music with a rain sound effects video in the background, and just keep working until you kind of dose off from reality and just get in the zone. A long answer, but it really helps.

Forgot to mention; if you ever get stressed out, either do something else to calm down, or use that stress to your advantage and do a ton of work because of it.

I think the first is 225 and second is 75 i’m so sorry if this is wrong this is so confusing
Answer:  3600 calories

Work Shown:

1 pound = 16 ounces

3 pounds = 48 ounces (multiply both sides by 3)

Based on that, we can then say,

(750 calories)/(10 ounces) = (x calories)/(48 ounces)

750/10 = x/48

75 = x/48

x/48 = 75

x = 48*75

x = 3600

Answer:

10 in

Step-by-step explanation:

The sides r, 10 and 20 are parallel to each other as all three are perpendicular  to same line.

The triangles are similar as two sides are on same lines and another one is parallel as described above.

Work out the value of r using ratios of corresponding sides:

(r + 10)/(10 + 20) = r/10(r + 10)/30 = r/10r + 10 = 3r2r = 10r = 5 in

Now, find the distance x from the bottom of the cone to the base of the smallest ball, using same method as above:

(x + r)/r = (x + 2r + 10)/10(x + 5)/5 = (x + 20)/102(x + 5) = x + 202x + 10 = x + 20x = 10

A cone has a height of 10 in. and a radius of 4 in.

What is the slant height of the cone?

A
116−−−√
in.
B
96−−√
in.
C
84−−√
in.
D
104−−−√
in.

Answers

Answer: Choice A.   sqrt(116)

==========================================================

Explanation:

If we were to view a vertical cross section of the cone, then we get a triangle. This triangle splits along the vertical height line to form two congruent right triangles.

The horizontal piece of each triangle is the radius r = 4.

The vertical piece is the height h = 10.

Apply the pythagorean theorem to find the slant height, which is the hypotenuse of the right triangle.

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

r^2 + h^2 = x^2

4^2 + 10^2 = x^2

16 + 100 = x^2

116 = x^2

x^2 = 116

x = sqrt(116)

For x such that 0 < x < [tex]\frac{\pi}{2}[/tex], the mathematical expression is:

[tex]\frac{\sqrt{1 \;-cos^2x} }{sinx} + \frac{\sqrt{1 \;-sin^2x} }{cosx} = 1+1=2[/tex]

Given the following data:

[tex]\frac{\sqrt{1 \;-cos^2x} }{sinx}[/tex]

[tex]\frac{\sqrt{1 \;-sin^2x} }{cosx}[/tex]

In Trigonometry, you should take note of the following mathematical expression:

[tex]sin^2x + cos^2x = 1[/tex]

Therefore, we can obtain the following:

[tex]sin^2x = 1 - cos^2x[/tex]   ...equation 1.

[tex]cos^2x = 1 - sin^2x[/tex]    ...equation 2.

Substituting the equations respectively, we have:

[tex]\frac{\sqrt{1 \;-cos^2x} }{sinx} + \frac{\sqrt{1 \;-sin^2x} }{cosx} = \frac{\sqrt{sin^2x} }{sinx} + \frac{\sqrt{cos^2x} }{cosx}\\\\[/tex]

Taking the square roots, we have:

[tex]\frac{sinx}{sinx} + \frac{cosx}{cosx} = 1 +1\\\\1+1=2[/tex]

Therefore, for x such that 0 < x < [tex]\frac{\pi}{2}[/tex], the expression is:

[tex]\frac{\sqrt{1 \;-cos^2x} }{sinx} + \frac{\sqrt{1 \;-sin^2x} }{cosx} = 1+1=2[/tex]
