I am writing an essay for 8th grade about slavery and this is there any way I can make this more formal, or add more detail, or just make it better in any way? (I will give brainliest) Frederick Douglass was a slave himself and thought that slavery should be banned and was morally wrong while Captain Canot was fine with it and, in fact, supported it. Frederick, being a slave helped with the reason he was against it. But, there are many other reasons why he thought it was wrong. One other reason he thought slavery was wrong was that Frederick saw children's mothers and children being slaves while usually the father would be white and the slave owner, this also brought domestic violence. If the mothers or children would not listen. They would be whipped, beaten, and sometimes even killed. They were killed because they were seen as "expendables" as white slave owners could just buy more because most of the slave owners who owned slaves were usually rich and could afford to buy more at a slave auction. Frederick, also based his views on how he was taught and his education. He also knew that inequality and slavery were always hateful and bad, in the first place. Captain Canot, on the other hand, was born into a white family and was white himself and was always taught being a slave was not wrong and that everyone should own slaves, this is a reason why he believed it was ok to own slaves (seeing a pattern?). He then joined the military giving him the name "Captain." Which was a mastery of all men, to complement this he owned slaves himself. Captain Canot never experienced what being a slave was and what having no rights at all felt like. So of course, having no experience Captain Canot thought slavery was good. Both of these historical characters thought very differently, but for all the same reasons, experience.
Once being a slave himself, Frederick Douglass, believed that slavery was morally incorrect, and should be prohibited. Sadly, Captain Canot, being a slave trader, was not against it. He made good money off it, so he saw it as normal, and acceptable. As Frederick had experienced slavery and suffered through the cruelty of it, it gave him a strong reason for being an abolitionist. He saw the actions of slave owners, black women and children would be worked harsh hours, and if showed sign of defiance, they would be whipped, neaten and occasionally killed. Slave owners saw their slaves as expendables, a tool that can just be thrown away. Thinking, since they were wealthy, they could just buy another to replace the old slaves. Fredrick also based his views on his previous education, He understood that inequality and slavery were despicable, especially as an African American. On the other hand, Canot was raised in a wealthy white family, and his family most likely had slaves, so he saw slavery not to be an issue. Captain Canot got his Captain title by joining the military, and working his way up the ranks. With his title of Captain, he was awarded slaves. As to being privileged, Canot never experienced what being a slave was like. The cruelty, not being given freedom, being overworked, treated like you weren't a person, but rather a tool, whereas, Fredrick had experienced these conditions. Both these historical figures, thought in opposition, but for the same reasons, played a giant role in history.

It's 6:30 on a cool fall morning, I Just woke up to get some tea, get ready for work. I go out on my balconey and look down apon all the carriages passing by, when I see some horrid black smoke rise from the factory across the river. "Dang factory gonna kill us all" I mutter. I had never been on the other side of the river, resricted access ever since I was a kid, But I also knew they were up to some shady stuff. Today was my lucky day if you would call it that, I get to go interview the owners. after I was done with my tea and got dressed, I went down to my garage, grabbed my horses, strapped them to my carriage and I was on my way to the other side of the river. I work for the london times, I get to do something new every couple of days, like last week I interviewed the people that claimed something about "flying cows and sheep trrorizing the country side."
Sorry I couldn't finish it I have to do something else right now.

What member of the Feudal system was most impacted by the Magna Carta AND what impacts does it have on Feudalism?
Answer:
King John
Explanation:
John angered his own nobles with oppressive taxes and other abuses of power. In 1215, a group of rebellious barons cornered John and forced him to sign the Magna Carta, or great charter. In this document, the king affirmed a long list of feudal rights. Besides protecting their own privileges, the barons included a few clauses recognizing the rights of townspeople and the Church.
Among other clauses in the Magna Carta that would have lasting impact were those that protected freemen from arbitrary arrest, imprisonment, and other legal actions, except “by legal judgment of his peers or by the law of the land.”

Explanation:
Cortés used his new allies and united them against the Aztecs, who were resented by local groups for the high tributes they exacted. By the time he arrived in Mexico, the Aztecs had come to rule over 500 small states and some 5 to 6 million people. He used deadly force to conquer Mexico, fighting Tlaxacan and Cholula warriors before turning his attention on the ultimate prize: taking over the Aztec Empire.
He entered Tenochtitlan, the Aztec capital home to ruler Montezuma II, on November 8, 1519. Tenochtitlán, located near today’s Mexico City, had more than 140,000 inhabitants at its height and was the most densely populated city ever to exist in Mesoamerica. Montezuma, thinking Cortés and his men were envoys from the god Quetzalcoatl who was prophesied to return that year in the Aztec calendar, treated him as an honored guest. Seizing his chance, Cortés took Montezuma hostage and his soldiers raided the city.
When Cortés learned that a Spanish force from Cuba led by Pánfilo Narváez was arriving to strip him of his command and arrest him for disobeying orders, Cortés fled the city. He left 80 Spanish soldiers and a few hundred Tlaxcaltecs under the command of Pedro de Alvarado to hold Tenochtitlan until he returned.
