Read the article "Overcoming Difficulties: How Helen Keller Learned to Communicate" and answer the question.

Every day, millions of people worldwide use their mouths to speak, their ears to hear, and their eyes to see. However, not all people have those abilities. Some are born without the ability to speak, see, or hear. Others lose one or all of these abilities due to illness or accident. Not being able to communicate can be a major obstacle, but people who overcome these challenges are often determined, resourceful, and dedicated to helping others. Instead, people who have to overcome these challenges are often determined, resourceful, and dedicated to helping others.

A Great Teacher

One person who did not allow her disability to limit her was Helen Keller. Keller, who became blind and deaf at the age of one and a half due to illness, learned at a very young age that her life was going to be different. As a child in the late 1800s, she did not have access to the technology we have today that assists people with disabilities in their daily lives. Instead, she had a very dedicated and creative teacher who stuck with Keller throughout her life. This teacher's name was Anne Sullivan. As a result of Sullivan's dedication and Keller's own determination, she learned when many thought she could not.

Learning How to Communicate

Sullivan helped her learn to communicate by using the resources and abilities Keller did have. Keller could touch, taste, and smell. Sullivan taught her to associate hand movements with words. She would spell words on Keller's hand while having her touch the related object. By associating a physical object with the hand movements, Helen learned the meaning of countless words. Learning to speak was tackled in a similar way. By feeling lips as they moved, Keller learned how to use her lips to form words. Using such innovative techniques and the resources available to her opened whole new worlds for Keller's learning. Sullivan encouraged and mentored Keller, never letting her give up and always believing the best for her.

An Inspiration to Others

Another way Keller learned to communicate was through writing. As an adult, she attended Radcliffe College, which allowed her to advance her education, even though many people doubted her ability to be successful. While she was there, she wrote her autobiography, which told the world about her struggles and accomplishments. She was able to share her story through Braille, a form of writing using raised dots felt with the fingers. Throughout her entire college career, Anne Sullivan was beside her, encouraging Keller and interpreting the words she could not see and the sounds she could not hear. Helen Keller's perseverance and Anne Sullivan's dedication became an inspiration for many children and adults around the world.

Helen Keller went on to be a successful author and teacher. She became a mentor to other children and adults living with disabilities. To this day, Keller is remembered for her determination, resourcefulness, and dedication that helped her to overcome obstacles and inspire others.

Which details best support the claim that Keller learned to communicate successfully?

A She eventually became a traveling motivational speaker.
B She went to college and wrote her own autobiography.
C She helped to develop modern American Sign Language.
D She was a favorite playmate among the neighbor children.

In "The Second Coming" by W.B. Yeats, the speaker asserts that the best people "lack all conviction," while the worst are "full of passionate intensity." How does this statement apply to the speakers in "An Irish Airman Foresees His Death" and "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock"? What characteristics of the modern world make it difficult, if not impossible, to be heroic in the traditional sense?

Answers

Yes it could and it would be possible

Answer:

An Irish who foresees his death is regarded as the one where death cannot be avoided may be due to an aircraft crash possible to happen or hijack in the plane.

A hero in the traditional sense is someone capable of letting go of himself to fight for others' well-being and safety. Heroes are supposed to be brave, smart, and, above all, altruistic. They must be willing to sacrifice it all to do the right thing.

However, one of the things the modern world has taught us is to put ourselves first. We are no longer willing to sacrifice part or all of our lives for the sake of others. Quite the contrary, what we treasure the most now are personal, individual accomplishments.

They can come in many forms: Buying the things you desire, traveling to several countries because it seems to be what everyone does, climbing the corporate ladder etc.

Explanation:

In 1-2 sentences, explain how to use an apostrophe to show possession for singular and plural nouns and to form contractions.

Answers

Answer:what kinda middle school work is this bro anyways hope this helps

Explanation:

In very specific situations, the apostrophe is used to replace missing letters in contractions, to show the possessive form of some nouns, and to make the plural of some words. 1. To indicate missing letters in words or missing numbers in a year, use an apostrophe in a contraction.

2. Use an apostrophe in the possessive form of a noun to indicate ownership. To show ownership, add apostrophe + s to the end of a word, with one exception: To show ownership with a plural noun already ending in s add only the apostrophe.

In quite certain circumstances, the apostrophe  is utilized to supplant missing letters in constrictions, to show the possessive type of certain things, and to make the plural of certain words.

Uses of apostrophe are:

To demonstrate missing letters in words or missing numbers in a year, utilize a punctuation in a withdrawal.

Utilize an apostrophe  in the possessive type of a thing to demonstrate proprietorship.

To show proprietorship, add punctuation + s to the furthest limit of a word, with one special case.

To show possession with a plural thing previously finishing off with s add just the punctuation.

The basic guideline is that the possessive of a solitary thing is shaped by adding a punctuation apostrophe and s, whether or not the particular thing closes in s.

The possessive of a plural thing is framed by adding just a punctuation when the thing closes in s, and by adding both a punctuation and s when it closes in a letter other than s.

Write a pharagraph about Malala Yousafzai

Answers

Hey! I did a project on Malala Yousafzai a little while back and thought I could help.

Malala Yousafzai was born on July 12, 1997. When Malala was born, she was not respected by her mother as much as she was respected by her father. In her time, boys were celebrated when they were born- girls were not. She grew up with two brothers who supported her constantly. At 11 years old, Malala had a blog, which she shared her views on education and told about life in her own town. At that time, Swat had become under Taliban control. Since it was under their control, they forced a large amount of schools to close and they banned girls from Swat to attend schools. When the Pakistani military launched a campaign that drove power away from the Taliban's, they reopened school. The Taliban still remained active in the region, but did not have as much power as before. In 2012 while riding a bus, Malala was shot in the head by terrorists because of her campaign for the education of girls. Malala survived, and today still continues to make a difference for young girls around the world. In 2015, Yousafzai opened a school in Lebanon for Syrian refugee girls. In 2017, she became the youngest person to be named a UN Messenger of Peace. UN Messengers of Peace are chosen from the fields of literature, art, science, entertainment, sports, and other areas of public life. Their role is to help focus global attention on the work and ideals of the United Nations. Yousafzai's role included a special focus on girls' education. Malala Yousafzai was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014. At age 17, she became the youngest person to ever receive the prize.

This was way too much- but I'm sure you can summarize a bit. I hope this helps.

Malala Yousafzai

Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest-ever Nobel Prize laureate. She is known mainly for human rights advocacy for education and for women in her native Swat Valley in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of northwest Pakistan, where the local Taliban had at times banned girls from attending school. Malala’s advocacy has since grown into an international movement.

Malala was born on July 12, 1997 in the Swat District of Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, into a Sunni Muslim family of Pashtun ethnicity.

Her family runs a chain of schools in the region. In early 2009, when she was 11-12, Malala wrote a blog under a pseudonym for the BBC detailing her life under Taliban occupation, their attempts to take control of the valley, and her views on promoting education for girls in the Swat Valley. The following summer, journalist Adam B. Ellick made a New York Times documentary about her life as the Pakistani military intervened in the region. Malala rose in prominence, giving interviews in print and on television, and she was nominated for the International Children’s Peace Prize by South African activist Desmond Tutu.

On the afternoon of October 9, 2012, Malala boarded her school bus in the northwest Pakistani district of Swat. A gunman asked for her by name, then pointed a pistol at her and fired three shots. One bullet hit the left side of her forehead, travelled under her skin through the length of her face, and then went into her shoulder. In the days immediately following the attack, she remained unconscious and in critical condition, but later her condition improved enough for her to be sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, England, for intensive rehabilitation. On October 12, a group of 50 Islamic clerics in Pakistan issued a fatwa against those who tried to kill her, but the Taliban reiterated their intent to kill Malala and her father, Ziauddin Yousafzai. The assassination attempt sparked a national and international outpouring of support for Malala. Deutsche Welle wrote in January 2013 that Malala may have become “the most famous teenager in the world. United Nations Special Envoy for Global Education Gordon Brown launched a UN petition in Malala’s name, demanding that all children worldwide be in school by the end of 2015; it helped lead to the ratification of Pakistan’s first Right to Education Bill.

The 2013, 2014 and 2015 issues of Time magazine featured Malala as one of “The 100 Most Influential People in the World”. She was the winner of Pakistan’s first National Youth Peace Prize, and the recipient of the 2013 Sakharov Prize. In July that year, she spoke at the headquarters of the United Nations to call for worldwide access to education, and in October the Government of Canada announced its intention that its parliament confer Honorary Canadian citizenship upon Malala. In February 2014, she was nominated for the World Children’s Prize in Sweden.

Even though she was fighting for women’s rights as well as children’s rights, she did not describe herself as feminist when asked on Forbes Under-30 Summit in 2014. In 2015, however, Malala told Emma Watson she decided to call herself a feminist after hearing Watson’s speech at the UN launching the HeForShe campaign.

In May 2014, Malala was granted an honorary doctorate by the University of King’s College in Halifax. Later in 2014, Malala was announced as the co-recipient of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize, along with Kailash Satyarthi, for her struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education. Aged 17 at the time, Malala became the youngest-ever Nobel Prize laureate. She was the subject of Oscar-shortlisted 2015 documentary He Named Me Malala.

In the 1970s, drinking containers for soda and water changed from glass bottles to plastic bottles. Glass bottles were reusable. People bought the bottles, drank the liquid, and returned the empty containers to the store for a refund. The company collected, cleaned, and refilled the glass bottles at bottling plants. In contrast, plastic bottles were made out of Polyethylene terephthalate, making these containers disposable. Consumers bought the containers, drank the soda or water, and threw the plastic containers into the garbage. Unlike glass bottles, this plastic invention was cheap to produce. For every glass bottle, companies could make 20–40 plastic ones. Companies favored the more economic choice, and plastic bottles soon replaced glass bottles.

topic sentence: When Scrooge went on a journey through his past, present, and future with the ghosts of Christmas, he was able to gain a new perspective about his life, especially about his past. Here is what his perspective shifted too.

reason: When traveling with the ghost of Christmas past, Scrooge was able to look at his life from a third-person perspective, so he was able to see his younger self instead of being him in the moment.

end of reason 1: Scrooge was able to understand he was not responsible for his mistreatment as a child but that he is responsible for his mistakes as an adult.

reason 2: Another thing that changed Scrooges perspective was that he learns the simple things in life like love, friendship, and laughter hold much more value than money.
