specific example to support your answer.

Answers

Answer:

Explanation:

Photosynthesis uses carbon dioxide to create oxygen in the atmosphere. Oxygen is what we breathe. We do a process called cellular respiration. This means we breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide. Plants use this carbon dioxide to do photosynthesis. It is a never-ending cycle.

For example, a bunny breathes out carbon dioxide. The plant takes carbon dioxide in and gives out oxygen. The bunny breathes in the oxygen and then again breathes out the carbon dioxide.

Which of the following is an example of a nonspecific immune response? I. White blood cells that invade the area of a cut in the skin II. An injury triggers mast cells to release histamine, causing inflammation III. Killer T-cells destroy pathogens by recognizing proteins on cell surfaces.

Answers

Nonspecific is the innate immune response that is present since birth. White blood cells and mast cells are examples of non-specific immunity.

What is a nonspecific immune response?

The non-specific immune response is the immunity present in the child from his/her birth and is a generalized response that employs white blood cells and mast cells for conferring the pathogens.

It is innate immunity that protects from the invasion of pathogens and provides the first line of defence by forming barriers.

It includes the invasion of the white blood cells in the area of any cut or injury or the release of the histamine from the mast cells in an injured area for the inflammation pathway.

Therefore, the statement I about white cells and II about mast cells are examples of the non-specific immune response.

The term evolution makes reference to descendence with modification, which happens due to natural selection.

Natural selection refers to the differential survival and reproduction of organisms that live in particular environments.

Adaptations are specific phenotypic traits that usually emerge by natural selection and enhance the fitness of an organism.

In conclusion, examples of adaptations for an animal that lives in a snowbound region include dense hair to protect from cold, a thick layer of fat to insulate the body and padded feet to walk through the snow.

The three adaptations for an animal that lives in a snowbound region are dense hair all over the body to protect from cold, a thick layer of fat to insulate the body, and padded feet to walk through the snow. Therefore, the correct statements are option A, option C, and option D.

What are the adaptations for an animal that lives in a snowbound region?

Animals that live in snowbound regions adapt to survive in cold temperatures. Dense hair all over the body keeps the animal warm. A thick layer of fat insulates the body, which protects them in colder temperatures.

Padded feet are also an adaptation to enable animals to walk through the snow without expending too much energy. Adaptations for living in snowbound regions involve insulation, energy conservation, and mobility in the snowy terrain.

Therefore, dense hair all over the body to protect from cold, a thick layer of fat to insulate the body, and padded feet to walk through snow are the adaptation for an animal that lives in a snowbound region.

Tracking Changes to Your Trees and Woods: Measuring growth

September 4, 2014RecreationKris Tiles

tweetshareemail

In previous posts, we recommended that landowners get out into their woods to keep an eye on any changes that might be taking place, whether that be changes to the health of your trees or boundary problems. We also suggested you keep track of physical changes to your trees by watching them grow and change over time. First we gave you some tools to identify the trees in your woods. This month’s post will introduce ways you can measure the growth of individual trees.

You can measure the growth of individual trees over time by measuring their diameter. Many of us learned to count the rings of a tree to determine how old they are. The other secret in the rings of our trees is how wide they are. Generally, healthy, not crowded trees will put on more growth in diameter over time; thus, the rings will be wider when they are healthy. If you are astute, you may be asking how in the heck you measure the diameter of solid wood. That is where a handy tool comes into play, called the diameter tape. With this tool, you are technically using the circumference of the tree, and the number on the tape has markings that indicate the diameter (circumference divided by Pi (3.14)). You can purchase a diameter tape (D-tape) from forestry suppliers, or you can make your own using a simple length of rope or ribbon using the method shown in this publication . Trees tend to grow irregularly at the base, so to determine a more accurate measure of diameter, foresters will measure the diameter of the tree at 4.5 feet above the ground. When you record the diameter of trees, you can follow the growth of those trees over time, and you can calculate other important measures of your woods. As a reminder, healthy trees will grow faster (and fatter) in diameter each year than trees that are crowded and unhealthy.

I think that the hardest part of measuring the growth of a forest is, keeping track of the measurements of ever plant that would be in the forest, and if you messed up a measurement while planting your forest everything will go out of order, it will also take lots of years, because the forest is mainly trees, and it approximately takes about 30 years for a tree to be fully grown, so that is what I think the hardest part of measuring the growth of forest! : you can cut some words out cause they might not be necessary hope it helps tho and sorry if its not fully correct!

Agricultural sources include manure pits and cow burping from “enteric fermentation,” which results from the digestive process of cattle.

What do you mean by enteric fermentation?

Enteric fermentation is a digestive process by which carbohydrates are broken down by microorganisms into simple molecules for absorption into the bloodstream of an animal.

Enteric fermentation is a natural part of the digestive process in ruminant animals such as cattle, sheep, goats, and buffalo. Microbes in the digestive tract, or rumen, decompose and ferment food, producing methane as a by-product.

Enteric fermentation occurs when anaerobic microbes, called methanogens, decompose and ferment food present in the animal's digestive tract producing compounds that the animal host then absorbs.

It allows the denser and closed packaging of the genetic material that looks like the chromosomes in the nucleus of the cell. The chromatin is formed by condensation of the chromosomes that look like long thread-like structures.
