what evidence does miranda gives us about hamilton and elizabeth's relationship

Answers

Answer:

Read Explanation

Explanation:

First off, there was the Reynolds Pamphlet. We can gather from there that on Hamilton's side of the relationship, there was some infidelity. They both loved each other despite the fact that he had gone of with Maria Reynolds and cheated while Eliza was off to a visit with her father and sister. Then to show how "Eliza reacted when you broke her heart" Lin Manuel wrote "Burn" to depict her broken heart and the letters the couple had written to each other. They had a child they both loved dearly, and even though Hamilton had a hard time being satisfied, with Eliza, he started to being to be satisfied. Eliza had so much faith in Hamilton, at the end of the musical she said "He could have done so much more." They forgave each other at the end, because they both loved each other and then in a duel with Aaron Burr, Hamilton died. If Eliza hadn't cared about him, she would have just moved on, but she was very upset due to the loss of her late son Philip, and now her beloved husband, Alexander.

Sorry I don't have all the context of what you needed to write from but here's my answer, hope it helps!

"Nonviolence: A Force More Powerful Than Electricity" by Peter M. Loveless

1 In 1936, Mohandas Gandhi was asked if nonviolent resistance was a form of direct action. “It is not one form,” he answered. “It is the only form…It is the greatest…force in the world…It is.. a force which is more positive than electricity, and more powerful than ever ether.”

2 Nonviolence is a political force that has helped shape history. In many cases it receives less attention than violent conflict such as war or guerrilla activity. Yet is has often produced momentous change. Governments as entrenched as South Africa’s apartheid government, the British occupation of India, and communist Poland have crumbled in the face of ordinary, unarmed people.

3 How is it possible for people to bring about such change when confronting powerful opponents? There are various factors that contribute to the success of nonviolence.

4 First, it is important to understand how governments rule. Political power involves a relationship between the rulers and the workers. Local governments, schools, and businesses rely on the cooperation of the people to run smoothly. Even the most rigid states depend on this cooperation, although they may secure it through invisible forces such as fear or loyalty.

5 Sometimes people in a society are willing to obey the government due to a sense of helplessness or anxiety. Rulers can then behave as they wish. Subjects may withdraw their consent to be governed, however, and this can lead to the disintegration of power.

6 If there is widespread disobedience in a society, rulers will often inflict punishments. Maintaining control in this way requires that some citizens – often a police force or army willing to crush resistance – remain loyal to the government. In many cases, however, people refuse to give in to this kind of force.

7 Another important factor in nonviolence is the number of people willing to take action. Once a campaign of disobedience becomes widespread, it gains momentum and can become a significant force. As more people become involved in disobedience, it becomes harder for a government to control them with violence or imprisonment.

8 As author Gene Sharp writes, “The theory that power derives from violence, and that victory necessarily goes to the side with the greater capacity for violence, is false.” To attain victory

through nonviolence, however, people must understand the methods that are at their disposal. These tools can be divided roughly into three classes.

9 The first kind is symbolic or persuasive action. Protest marches, vigils, speeches, posters, banners, and the like may be used to gain support for a cause.

10 Another method is refusal to cooperate – a passive, but powerful, form of resistance. When citizens disagree with a law, they may disobey it. Workers may go on strike. This happened when Lech Walesa led the Polish people out of the grasp of Soviet control in the 1980s. By bringing an economy to its knees, strikes can result in the total collapse of a regime. Similarly, people can join boycotts or refuse to pay taxes, and government officials, police, and soldiers can all disobey orders. In the end, the entire system that props up a ruler’s power can be taken apart. Then the ruler is no more powerful than any other individual.

11 The third category of nonviolent action is intervention. People may intervene in order to disrupt a situation that they think is causing harm. Methods include sit-ins and peaceful direct action. People may act in ways that they know will lead to their imprisonment, which in turn focuses negative publicity on their opponents. One famous example of this occurred in 1955 in Montgomery, Alabama, when Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a bus to a white passenger.

12 It is often assumed that nonviolence methods take longer to succeed than violent approaches. In fact, the reverse may be true; in some cases, nonviolence has brought about change in a matter of weeks or days.

13 As Leo Tolstoy wrote, “Violence can never destroy what is accepted by public opinion. On the contrary, public opinion need only be diametrically opposed to violence to destroy its every action.”

14 Once a path of nonviolence is chosen, it is crucial to stick to that path. To shift to the use of violence is to adopt the tools of the oppressive regime. The use of violence can dissuade ordinary people from supporting a cause. Valuable allies may turn away. And, in the face of a heavily armed opponent, violence is unlikely to succeed. In contrast, nonviolent resistance has been described as “political jujitsu.” Nonviolence uses the force and weight of an opposing regime against itself in order to bring about the regime’s defeat.

How do you evaluate a poem with detail?

Answers

Answer:

Connect to the Author and Time Period

The context of a poem sheds light on the overall meaning of the words. The time period and biography of a poet will give insight that may be hard to decipher just by reading the poem out of context. A good example is the famous poem "Annabel Lee" by Edgar Allan Poe. This narrative poem describes the untimely death of a beautiful woman. A close look at Poe's life reveals that he lost several women close to him, including his mother, stepmother and beloved wife. The poem is also Poe's last known work and one of Poe's only poems with a positive message: that the speaker and Annabel Lee will be reunited after death. When in doubt about the meaning of a poem, research the poet and his era for missing clues.

Explanation:

Though the question was not stated, I was able to provide the answers. I discovered that it is a question of selecting the correct pronoun that fits into each of the sentences.

The above sentences are properly arranged by placing the correct pronoun in the sentence. The appropriate use of first, second and third person pronouns are seen here.

The first person pronoun are I, we, and us and "I" is known as the singular and "we" and "us" as the plural forms. "I" is a first person pronoun which is used when the narrator of the phrase is referring to themselves. "we" or "us" is used for a group of two or more that includes the speaker.

The second-person pronouns are you, your, yours. which actually refers to the reader or the intended audience. They include you, your, and yours. While third person refer to persons, places, or things which is not the reader or the writer. They include he, him, his, she, her, hers, it, its, they, them, their, and theirs.

essay: envying others

Answers

Answer:

The word "envy" came from the Latin word "invidere". Here "In" means "contrary", and "videre" means "to look". .

Envy is a feeling we will have towards someone when we wish that we had his qualities, luck, or possessions.

For example, old men envy younger men; those who have spent much envy those who have spent little on the same thing; and men who have not got a thing, or not got it yet, envy those who have got it quickly.

Ambitious men are more envious than those who are not. If a person is ambitious to make a fortune, he will be envious on this particular point. Hence he will envy those who became rich quickly. Similarly, small-minded men are envious, for everything seems great to them-fame, wisdom, gift, or love. They envy it not because of their demands for it, but because the other people have it.

And it is also clear what kind of people we envy. Most of the time, we feel envious towards our equals or competitors. In another word, we envy those who are near us in time, place, age, or reputation. We do not compete with men who lived a hundred centuries ago, or those not yet born, or the dead, or those whom we consider to be far below us or far above us. But we do compete with our rivals in sport or in love, and generally with those who are after the same things. And it is therefore these people we envy more than others.

Sometimes we will confuse envy with jealousy, yet these two terms are quite different from each other.

Jealousy is a feeling one feels when one hates the lucky person who has received something that should have been given to oneself. He is not satisfied with the fact that others have got what he ought to have, or have got what he did have once. It is often used to describe a love relationship. A wife may become jealous when she sees that her husband shows admiration for another beautiful woman. She feels justified in doing this because she considers it her only right to have her husband's love.
