There must be enforceable legislation to stop huge, monopolistic service providers like AT&T and Comcast from restricting rivals' content as more service providers and services are introduced.
Hulu and Netflix are two examples of content providers that depend on bandwidth from service providers, but AT&T and Comcast, which are also building their own content providers, are in direct rivalry with these businesses. Congress should adopt an amendment to ensure that competition on the internet remains strong and active and that violators are severely sanctioned in order to ensure that the internet is a free market space.
