Phases and Times of Day on Earth 1. Put the moon at the full moon position. (Keep the bright side of the moon towards the sunlight) 2. Rotate the person so that "Sunset" is directly over their head. This means they are experiencing sunset at this time. a. At this time, where is the Sun? (E horizon, W horizon or Overhead) b. Where is the moon? (E horizon, W horizon or Overhead) c. What is rising? What is setting? 3. Rotate the person so that "Midnight" is directly over their head. a. Where is the moon? (E horizon, W horizon or Overhead) 4. Rotate the person so that "Sunrise" is directly over their head. a. Where is the sunlight? (E horizon, W horizon or Overhead) b. Where is the moon? (E horizon, W horizon or Overhead) 5.
