In the views of Lyle Koehler the Salem Witchcraft hysteria was due to the fact that patriarchal dominance was too much in the society, while Laurie was of the opinion that the Salem witch craft was the neurological responses to the changes that the victims had experienced at the time.

Laurie's argument is stronger because she gave a reason that can be said to be more factual

The Salem Witch craft was the period of hysteria that existed in the days of the American colonies due to the fact that several women in Massachusetts were being accused of being witches and the result was that they were prosecuted based on the belief.

Those found to be guilty of being witches were killed at the time. The trial was based on the belief that the accused were practicing the magic of the devil in the colonies.

The person that has the stronger argument in the question here would be the person of Laurie. We can see this based on the fact that she said the reasons that may actually have been the cause of the actions of the women. Her argument can be backed by science.
