PLZZ HELP!!

Think of a conflict in a story that you’ve read recently. What type of conflict—internal conflict or external conflict— did the protagonist (main character) face? What did the character learn from the conflict? Was the character able to overcome the conflict?
So you think the conflict in the story is a situation that could happen in real life? And would the solution work in the real world?

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

I’ve most recently read “Heartstopper“ by Alice Oseman.

The type of conflict that the main character (Charlie spring) faced was internal.   He struggles with with his sexuality and it has a major impact on his mental health. He learned to put trust in himself and other people. He was able to overcome his conflict by confessing his feelings for his friend, and talking to his parents about his mental disorders. Yes, this conflict is absolutely something that could happen in real life, in fact it’s something a lot of people are going through right now. The solution may work, but probably not as smoothly, as this is a work of fiction.

(and yeah, If you’re looking for something to read, I definitely recommend heartstopper. It’s a webcomic on webtoon, tapas, and tumblr.)

Answer 2

Answer:

I most recently read Call of the Wild by Jack London. One of the major conflicts of the story was Buck the dog had an internal struggle of whether to stay domesticated or listen to is wild self. A group of humans are trying to force him to drag their sleigh across some thin ice, in the end, he listens to himself and refuses to move, a man cuts him loose from his reigns, and Buck becomes very loyal to the man. I think the conflict does happen in real life, not only in dogs but also in people struggling to listen to their gut or what the people around them are telling them. However, it's pretty unlikely that the exact situation and solution will happen in real life.

Scott spent half of his weekly allowance on music. To help him earn more money, his parents let him wash the car for $6.53. What is his weekly allowance if he ended with $12.03?

Answers

Answer:

The weekly allowance of Scott = $11

Explanation:

Let the weekly allowance of Scott = $x

As given , weekly allowance at the end = $12.03

Also given, Scott spent half of his weekly allowance on music

⇒Scott spent on music = $[tex]\frac{x}{2}[/tex]

Also given, his parents let him wash the car for $6.53

∴ we get

[tex]\frac{x}{2}[/tex] + 6.53 = 12.03

⇒[tex]\frac{x}{2}[/tex]  = 12.03 - 6.53

⇒[tex]\frac{x}{2}[/tex]  = 5.5

⇒ x = 2×5.5

⇒x = 11

∴ The weekly allowance of Scott = $11

Answer:

Explanation:

Given:

Amount earn from washing = $6.53

End money = $12.03

Find:

Amount of weekly allowance = 2[12.03 - 6.53]

Amount of weekly allowance = $11

Dancing is not only a form of exercise but also a social skill. However, not everyone can sway to a tune.

Dancing is not only a form of exercise but also a social skill; however, not everyone can sway to a tune.

Explanation:

Using correct punctuation can improve clarity in writing. A semicolon separates two independent clauses, which are clauses that could stand on their own as complete sentences.

The sentence "Dancing is not only a form of exercise but also a social skill. However, not everyone can sway to a tune" is correct because the two independent sentences "Dancing is not only a form of exercise but also a social skill" and "However, not everyone can sway to a tune" are separated by a period.

The sentence "Dancing is not only a form of exercise but also a social skill; however, not everyone can sway to a tune" is correct because the two independent sentences "Dancing is not only a form of exercise but also a social skill" and "however, not everyone can sway to a tune" are separated by a semicolon.

The sentence "Dancing is not only a form of exercise but also a social skill, however; not everyone can sway to a tune" is incorrect because the comma after the word "skill" is wrongly placed.

The sentence "Dancing is not only a form of exercise but also a social skill. However not everyone can sway to a tune" is incorrect because a comma is needed after the word "However."

The sentence "Dancing is not only a form of exercise but also a social skill. However; not everyone can sway to a tune" is incorrect because a semicolon instead of a comma is placed after the word "However."

According to Henry David Thoreau, the best way for antislavery advocates to achieve their goals is for them to _____. campaign for antislavery candidates get signatures on petitions for Congress withhold all support from the government send emissaries to the South to learn about slavery

Answers

Answer:

According to Henry David Thoreau, the best way for antislavery advocates to achieve their goals is for them to withhold all support from the government.

Explanation:

Henry David Thoreau was an American transcendentalist writer, poet, and philosopher.

Politically, Thoreau was a representative of anarcho-primitivism, a political position that advocated the return of society to a natural state without industrialization or government. In this context, Thoreau supported civil disobedience as a form of struggle against power, especially in relation to slavery, which he condemned as a staunch abolitionist. Thus, he considered that civil disobedience, without reaching violence (although he supported more violent abolitionists such as John Brown, among others) was the means by which society could make the government feel its dissatisfaction with the situation of African Americans in the United States.

"It is empty," they said, "but you can easily furnish it." Empty! Yes, thank Heaven! Furnish it? Heaven forbid! Its floors were bare, its walls were bare, its tables there were only two in the house were bare. There was nothing in the closets but books; nothing in the bureau drawers but the smell of clean, fresh wood; nothing in the kitchen but an oil stove, and a few a very few dishes; nothing in the attic but rafters and sunshine, and a view of the sea. After I had been there an hour there descended upon me a great peace, a sense of freedom, of in finite leisure. In the twilight I sat before the flickering embers of the open fire, and looked out through the open door to the sea, and asked myself, "Why?" Then the answer came: I was emancipated from things. There was nothing in the house to demand care, to claim attention, to cumber my consciousness with its insistent, unchanging companionship. There was nothing but a shelter, and outside, the fields and marshes, the shore and the sea. These did not have to be taken down and put up and arranged and dusted and cared for. They were not things at all, they were powers, presences. And so I rested. While the spell was still unbroken, I came away. For broken it would have been, I know, had I not fled first. Even in this refuge the enemy would have pursued me, found me out, encompassed me.If we could but free ourselves once for all, how simple life might become!
