Tell me everything you know about the Civil Rights Movement

Answers

Answer 1
The civil rights movement was a very monumental occurrence in U.S. history. With well-known leaders like Martin Luther King, Jr., to Rosa Parks, to even Ruby Bridges, the Civil Rights Movement was a hopeful as well as impactful moment towards 100% equality within the United States as a whole. Though still very far away from the attempted goal, these marches, speeches, boycotts, and so much more as a part of this movement took place with the hope of a world resulting in a grand lack of discrimination, segregation, and overall racism against people of color and black lives.

First Timothy 6:17 says, “As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.” Jesus himself talks about how hard it is for the rich to remain untangled by the trappings of their wealth,

What are the similarities and differences between the War on Terror and the Cold War? Has the global role of the United States changed since the fall of the Soviet Union?

Answers

Answer: Like in the Cold War, the United States was trying to stop the spread and diminish a belief in the War on Terror: Islamic extremism. Unlike the War on Terror however, the Cold War was the fight against political forms like communism against democracy and capitalism. Also, in the Cold War the United States and Russia were trying to do things subtly so that another global war wouldn’t break out. In the War on Terror, the United States tried to stop oppressive groups with force. The role of the United States in world politics has changed since the collapse of the Soviet Union. It has worked to provide influence and support in countries without directly involving our military troops. They use tactics like humanitarian aid and diplomacy instead of military tactics.

Why did the Slave Trade begin? Why did European Nations kidnap peoples from Africa?

Answers

The Atlantic slave trade, transatlantic slave trade, or Euro-American slave trade involved the transportation by slave traders of various enslaved African people, mainly to the Americas. The slave trade regularly used the triangular trade route and its Middle Passage, and existed from the 16th to the 19th centuries.[1] The vast majority of those who were enslaved and transported in the transatlantic slave trade were people from Central and West Africa, who had been sold by other West Africans, or by half-European "merchant princes" to Western European slave traders (with a small number being captured directly by the slave traders in coastal raids)

At its worst, what percentage of the value of the American economy had been lost during the Great Depression?
A,89%
B. 34%
C. 57%
D. 73%

Answers

In the United States, where the Depression was generally worst, industrial production between 1929 and 1933 fell by nearly 47 percent, gross domestic product (GDP) declined by 30 percent, and unemployment reached more than 20 percent.

Answer:

A

Explanation:

In 1933 American unemployment reached 25 percent, which is devastatingly high. One out of every four American workers--in the days before women fully entered the workforce--couldn't find a job. By July of 1932, the American economy had lost 89 percent of its value. The United States of America was one of the few economies still intact after World War I, so its economic depression would have a ripple effect on the rest of the world.

To pass its threshold was to return to stagnation; to cross the silent hall, to ascend the darksome staircase, to seek my own lonely little room, and then to meet tranquil Mrs. Fairfax, and spend the long winter evening with her, and her only, was to quell wholly the faint excitement wakened by my walk,to slip again over my faculties the viewless fetters of an uniform and too still existence; of an existence whose very privileges of security and ease I was becoming incapable of appreciating.
